Camp Dad, Drag King, began to perform in Berlin in 2018, and rose to fame in the following couple of years along with Venus Boys, the show they started hosting at Silver Future in 2019. Camp Dad flirts with the fringes of performative masculinity. Camp is a clown, a faggot, a dandy, a glam rock sex symbol, a working class hero. Camp Dad explodes masculine meanings and proves that there is more to masculinity than toxicity. After a brief period of being dead in 2021 Camp Dad has returned like in Eastenders or The Bible. In 2023 they went on a European tour with their brother, Buba Sababa, where they appeared at KINGS- International Drag King Revolution in Barcelona. They are now performing with Magic Dyke, Berlin based butch strippers.
