There always were and always will be Girls In Your Area. A promise, and a threat. The T-slurs are everywhere. This band was born from the raging spit of PUNX N KWEENZ Berlin’s psychedelic punk rock drag opera. Fronted by Nancy Nutter, with Lucy Liebe on guitar, Rosa Peligrosa on bass, Leviathana on the drums, and with Nenutra on the flute- this band is a melting pot of sonic talents, feminine rage, and queer ambition.

The Girls make music about their experiences with chasers, men who fetishise trans women, representations of trans femmes in porn, making space for their anger in a political climate which falsely paints angry trans women as bad tempered confused men. They sing lullabies to soothe the wounds of gender dysphoria, serenades of their dissidence and their connections to motherhood.

The Girls’ first tape will be released in the fall by Fikkus records. Release party on October 16th at Lido in Berlin, along with their premiere music video for the song FFS. FFS is a play on gender affirming care, Facial Femnisation Surgery, and an ode to trans rage, For Fucks Sake. FFS is the title song of the tape, featured alongside Phantom Womb, Chaser Medley, and the Girls’ anthem Girls in Your Area.
